DAY ONE
When you first arrive...
You can't miss the expertly decorated Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland which greets you when driving into town from the South. Park the car and head into the world’s largest Christmas store.
Once you've gazed at the more than 50,000 gifts, trims, and decor, walk across the parking lot to Silent Night Memorial Chapel.
Next...
Head Downtown and visit Bavarian Inn Restaurant to roll your own pretzel. This class teaches you the story of how the pretzel came to be and leaves you with your very own to take home!
While your pretzel bakes, enjoy a world-famous chicken dinner. Every family-style chicken dinner meal starts with a delicious noodle soup, followed by some seasonal starters, then the main course with chicken, potatoes, noodles, and more, and ends with a delicious dollop of ice cream!
Following your meal...
Take a drive – or walk! – through Frankenmuth. Make sure that includes a stop to the historic St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Tours are available by calling ahead.
After that, cruise back to Main Street and enjoy shopping among the unique boutiques.
Meet back for dinner...
at the Frankenmuth Brewery and enjoy a beer sampling flight. The picturesque views of the Cass River make this a perfect place to end the evening.
Once you've finished your meal, hop in the car and head back to Bronner's Christmas Lane. Over 100,000 lights grace this half-mile that lights up when the sun goes down.
After a jam-packed day, head to your hotel for the evening for a good night's rest.
DAY TWO
Start the day off right...
with a tasty breakfast at daVinci's Italian Restaurant. Dine where the locals dine at this eatery on the North end of town.
Afterwards, tour Zeilinger Wool Company and learn about wool processing with a hands-on tour. Go next door to Michigan’s Military and Space Heroes museum which houses the country’s largest collection of Medals of Honor.
Break for lunch...
and head to Zehnder's of Frankenmuth. Try round two of a family style chicken dinner, or order something special like Chicken Schnitzel or the Hazelwood Sandwich (Mmm!)
Walk off the calories and head to Frankenmuth Clock Company. This shop has over 150 unique cuckoo clocks on display!
Next, head to Frankenmuth River Place Shops to...
Take a historic boat tour down the Cass River on the Bavarian Belle. If you're looking for something a little more private – the Belle seats 150 people – enjoy a wine and chocolate riverboat cruise with Frankenmuth FunShips. Both tours last about an hour and provide a great look at the history of Frankenmuth from the water!
Settle down for the night...
Enjoy free time downtown and hit up one of the local spots to have a drink and watch entertainment; Tiffany’s, the Lorelei Lounge at the Bavarian Inn Lodge, Slo’ Bones, or Prost! Wine Bar and Charcuterie.
DAY THREE
Wake up refreshed...
Eat breakfast at the hotel, then check out.
Start the morning off slow and explore the Frankenmuth Historical Museum. This museum tells the history of how Frankenmuth was founded!
Before lunch, catch the Glockenspiel show at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant at noon. You can view the show depicting the legend of the Pied Piper of Hameln at Noon, 3pm, 6pm, and 9pm each day.
Fill up...
At Honey B's Eatery or The Station 100 for lunch. Both restaurants serve fresh, made-from-scratch foods that are locally sourced and incredibly delicious.
After a tasty meal, head to St. Julian Winery for a wine tasting.
Finish off strong...
with a visit to Weiss Centennial Farm or Grandpa Tiny's Farm for an agricultural tour. In the Fall, Weiss Centennial Farm turns into Frankenmuth Corn Maze with miles of fields to explore. Grandpa Tiny's Farm is home to a petting zoo and tons of fun themed weekends throughout the year.
Once you've finished exploring, end your trip by departing Frankenmuth for Birch Run and shop at the Premium Outlets.
